Buenos Aires, December 8 (NA) – A retired officer of the Argentine Naval Prefecture committed suicide after arguing with his wife about holiday plans at their apartment in Las Cañitas. Police sources informed the Argentine News Agency that the woman called 911 to alert them that her 82-year-old husband had entered his office and shot himself with a firearm. Officers from the 14th B Community Police Station responded to the apartment located at Huergo 300, where they requested the presence of the SAME emergency medical service. Health personnel entered the home and confirmed the death of the former prefect. The victim is believed to have made the decision after an argument with his wife about where they would spend Christmas and New Year's Eve.
